Established the National Research Centre on mushroom (Indian Council of Agricultural Research), Solan in 1983, and functioned as its first Scientist Incharge.
Worked in mushroom R&D for 25 years at the Centre in various capacities.
Released 2 new varieties of summer white button mushroom Agaricus bitorquis on the national level, NCB-6 and NCB-13.
Developed the cultivation technology of summer white button mushroom A. bitorquis.
Developed the technology for the cultivation of button mushroom Agaricus bisporus organically with pesticide residue analysis.
Developed the mushroom Farm Design suiting Indian conditions.
Developed Techno Economic Feasibility Reports for commercial button mushroom cultivation for new enttrepreneurs in public and private sector.
Established several commercial button mushroom farms in India in private sector.
Developed the climate controlled mushroom growing facility at NRCM (now Directorate of mushroom Research).
Established Mushroom Society of India at NRCM,Solan in 1991.
Organised two mushroom conferences at NRCM, Solan-in 1994 and 1997, and one for growers at Delhi in 1999.
Organised scores of training programmes on mushroom production technology on national/international level, both on-campus and off-campus.
Advised several state Govts. to put up modern mushroom growing facility.
Started paid consultancy from NRCM in early nineties.
Developed the master blue print for development of infrastructure for mushroom cultivation in various states of Indian Union, under centrally sponsored scheme/technology mission.
